How are your pieces designed?

We spend hours researching designs, searching for inspiration, sharing our findings with each other and finalising the collection details over multiple videos calls. Countless disagreements and discussions later, we only narrow down designs once all three of us agree. The rough sketches then take shape, followed by vendor discussions and sampling. Finally, the pieces go into production once everything is in place.

 

Where is Pehchaan’s jewellery made?

Our jewellery is designed in our notebooks and on our laptops across Gurgaon and Mumbai, and handcrafted in Jaipur, India. 


What material is Pehchaan's jewellery made of?

All our pieces are handcrafted, with 18K gold-plated on high-quality brass. Because they are handmade, each piece is unique. No two pieces can be completely identical. 

We also use an array of semi-precious gemstones including pearls, amethyst, turquoise, quartz, garnet and more. 


How do I care for my jewellery?

While our jewellery is hypoallergenic with an anti-tarnish coating, it does need a little care to retain its sheen. Here are a few steps you can follow to preserve your jewellery:

*Wear your jewellery last, just before you’re ready to step out and take it off first thing, before you start your usual night-time routine. This avoids contact with water, lotions, perfumes, etc.

*Store the jewellery safely in our jute pouches and custom boxes to prevent the plating from eroding. 

* After every few wears, clean your jewellery with a soft, microfiber cloth. We don’t recommend any other products, polishes, or chemicals.


How can I pay for my order?

Currently, we only accept prepaid payments. You can use debit or credit cards, known wallets & UPI to pay for your order through our secure payment gateway. 


Can I exchange or return my order?

Our store has a NO returns or exchange policy. However, if you’ve received a damaged or incorrect item, please reach out to us at support@pehchaanbys.com with your order number and relevant images of the issue. Please note, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for reasons other than manufacturing defects.


Can I cancel my order?

Unfortunately, orders once placed cannot be cancelled. We encourage you to be sure before placing your order. 

 

Can I have my order sent as a gift?

Absolutely! All our orders go out in jute pouches and custom boxes that are perfect for gifting. In the notes section at checkout, let us know if you’d want a short note to go along with your order. Fill in the receiver’s address and phone number and you’re good to go!

 

How much does shipping cost?

We offer free shipping across India. 


How long does delivery take? 

It takes us 5-7 days to process the order and ship it out. Once we ship it out, you will receive an email with tracking details. If you'd like your order delivery expedited, please email us at orders@pehchaanbys.com and we'll try to accommodate your request.


Do you cover for lost or stolen packages?

We do not cover for any lost or stolen packages that have been confirmed as delivered. For a smooth delivery experience, please ensure your address and contact details are accurate.


My jewelry was damaged in transit — can I get a replacement?

While chances of breakage during shipping are slim, we’d be happy to assist you in case you’ve received a damaged piece. Please reach out to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can look into it and send you a replacement.
